Nichola Saphir DipRCM ARCM ALCM
Nichola Saphir was born in Nottinghamshire and started playing the piano at the age of five. She studied with Ruth Harte at the Royal Academy of Music and went on to continue her studies at the Royal College of Music for four years under Yu Chun Yee and Colin Horsley.
As a performer Nichola has travelled throughout the UK and has toured widely across Europe including concerts in Poland, Austria and Hungary. London venues have included St. Martin-in-the-Fields and St. James' Church as well as performing at the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham in the presence of HRH Princess Anne.
Nichola has over 25 years teaching experience and has produced students who have gone on to become professional musicians themselves.
Julian Saphir DipRCM ARCM
Julian Saphir was born in Barnet and started playing the piano at the age of four. From 13, he studied with Guy Jonson of the Royal Academy of Music before continuing his studies for a further four years at the Royal College of Music with Phyllis Sellick OBE and John Blakely.
Julian loves performing as both soloist and chamber musician both in the UK and abroad. He has recently been appointed a Kawai Artist and has also created his own musical education project "Saphir Inspires".
Julian has over 25 years teaching experience and also enjoys adjudicating and running workshops for young pianists.
